![]() Since the Demon Hunter is closest in general style to the D1 Rogue, I got the Rogue's ending upon killing Diablo. Since I had to complete the entire thing in one go, I had to resort to the Doom: Fall of Mars tactic of dumping items once I didn't need them anymore (though portaling back to New Tristram and selling them was also an option). ![]() I didn't get to fight the Skeleton King, but I did get to fight a host of other baddies such as Gharbad the Weak, Zhar the Mad, the Warrior of Blood, and of course, Lazarus and Diablo himself. Im dreading it, but I may try creating a new necromancer character. The first major bossfight, against the Butcher, was a nailbiter, as I kited him around the room and put arrow after arrow into him while avoiding his cleaver, since I wasn't leveled enough to use Vault, which I rely on quite heavily as the Demon Hunter. I did notice however when I replayed the quest, the dialogue options were still greyed out. I was a bit disappointed that they chose to use the Halls of Agony for the Hell levels instead of going more for something like what the original game went with. ![]() But at the same time, I've watched playthroughs of the original online, and there are definitely a number of differences between the original game and the D3 version, the biggest being the use of skills (which Diablo didn't really have back then) and general level design. As someone who never played the original Diablo, this was a nice change of pace. I went through the Darkening of Tristram on PTR with a starting Demon Hunter.
